The ultimate Argentina itinerary

An itinerary with the best things to see in Argentina. You’ll start with the beautiful city of Buenos Aires, rich in history and birthplace of the tango. You will then head to El Calafate, the perfect base to visit some of the most spectacular glaciers in the world, of which the best known is the impressive Perito Moreno. You’ll then head to Salta “La Linda” in the north of Argentina, a region known for its breathtaking views among other things. Host to alien landscapes of salt flats and cactus forests that are backdropped by colourful mountains. Last but not least you’ll head to the Iguazu waterfalls, which are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and recognised as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World before returning to Buenos Aires. Argentina is the 8th largest country in the world and extends 3700 km from north to south. To avoid spending too much time flying or moving around, it is opportune and more economic to divide your trip in two parts. This 17-day itinerary focuses on northern argentina, featuring the must-see places but also some hidden gems. You will start your trip in Buenos Aires, world capital of tango and a city rich in history. You will then head to Salta region known for its breathtaking coloured rock formations, then the Mendoza wine-region and finally the great Iguazu waterfalls. A few days of the trip will be organised in autotour to give you more freedom.
