Esteros del Iberà
One of the best kept secrets of Argentina
Picture 1300000 hectares of wetlands and floating islands where species roam free including caimans, capybaras, monkeys, wild pigs, foxes, and more than 350 bird species. Imagine getting up close and personal with these animals in their natural habitat. This is possible in Esteros del Iberà.
In this paradise of preserved nature, you will have the opportunity to take a 2 hour boat tour and spot some caimans taking a sunbath or capybaras socializing. You could also follow one of the trails to observe wildlife in its natural habitat, for example deer of the wetlands feeding or nurturing their young, etc… If you want you can also take a guided tour by night to catch some exceptional predators hunting.

Options include accommodation, breakfast, activities and the possibility to include a Gaucho day riding a horse in the vastness of an Argentinian farm discovering the Gaucho culture.
Depending on the options, the activities included are the following :
– 2 hours in a launch boat in one of two streams of the lagoon to reach deeper into the wilderness and watch native species from the boat. This launch tour can be made by night too
– Horse ride in Carlos Pellegrini town or in the wetland
– Night guided walking tour in the paranaense forest area

Forget everything and enjoy the nature and tradition of the Argentinian countryside in all its splendour.
You will see landscapes and animals like nothing you have seen before and you will feel how every minute becomes tangible, since it is, in these special moments, when you really taste life.
Itinerary : We will cruise on the boat for 2 hours, enjoying the quietness of the waters. At a certain point of the journey we will jump to a floating island to feel how the earth moves. We will see many wild animals since our guides know very well where they are.
Then, on the other side of the river, a gaucho, who has been working all his life in a ranch, will be waiting for us with his horses ready. We will cross the fields together and if we are lucky we can see the Gauchos at work, catching cattle with the lasso, tie them on the ground, etc. We will continue
riding and we will surely see more animals such as yacarés, birds, etc.
At lunch we will eat a delicious and authentic asado (barbecue) with dessert, accompanied by wine, beer and water. There are also options for you if you are vegetarian.
