Puerto Iguazu is the third largest city of the Misiones region (behind Oberá and the capital Posada) it is situated right at the junction of the Parana and Iguazu rivers, where the Iguazu Falls form. Iguazu (“great water” in Guarani language) is famous for these waterfalls, which are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and recognised as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.
